Dreams

Wait long enough and people will surprise you. This phrase really stood out to me in the video of Randy Pausch. This was a lesson he had learned from someone he really admired. We all struggle as we reach for our dreams and get stuck along the way. But as Randy said, “ Brick walls always seem to be placed in our way. They are not placed there to stop us. They are there to stop the other people, or those who don’t want it bad enough. There a placed there to give us a chance to show how much we want it.” The “It” can be different for everyone, and how Randy was able to accomplish his childhood dreams came from his tenacity. He described that as the experience we get when we don’t get what we want. We just keep trying. We don’t give up. I think dreaming is the fuel that helps us succeed. Without dreaming, we are more prone to just live a monotonous life that is easy and boring. But to have pure joy and achievement, we need to dream, so we can push ourselves to be the best. One of my childhood dreams was to be a mom and to be successful enough to help others in need. I always wanted to be rich, so that money wasn’t an issue in how I could help others. I am partially there in achieving my dreams. I am a mother to 5 beautiful humans, and working on the second part of that Dream. ~Elisa~
