Trust
As I think of going into business for myself, I think my greatest challenge will be to trust my ability and not doubt it. I have watched many entrepreneurial friends who have put their all into their businesses because they had to keep succeeding and were afraid of failing after such success. David Carrington talked about how he got Cancer and referred to it as a great advantage. He said that one of the things cancer does is force you to reassess your life. Because of that event, he was able to take a step back, look at the balance, and decide what was out of balance. He discovered that his businesses were running his life, instead of his life running his businesses. He talks about how we get so ingrained in what we’re doing that we don’t take a breath to see why we’re doing it. For me, this is a good reminder to have balance in all areas of life.
